The AluFire® door blank can be used in a fire-resistant door and frame combination. The blank has a thickness of 54 mm but is also available in a thickness of 61 mm or 63 mm. Because the door blank comfortably met the 30-minute requirement during fire testing to EN 1634-2008, both the length and the width may be increased by 15%, provided that a surface area increase of 20% is not exceeded. In practical terms, this means the door blank may have a maximum width of 109 cm and a maximum height of 270 cm, with a maximum surface area of 2.68 m².
Naturally, the AluFire® is also available in a conventional (non-fire-resistant) version.
